You will not want to miss the testimony of someone serving the Lord in a difficult part of the world. For security reasons we are not advertising our main speaker on our website or through social media. You will want to be there in person to hear what the Lord is doing!
Matthew Dickerson began playing the hammered dulcimer at the young age of 15 on a homemade instrument he constructed from a water damaged piano. He developed a love for the music that is contagious to anyone listening. His cheerful, acoustic style of playing led him to enter the Mideast Regional Hammered Dulcimer Competition in 2012, which he won. Shortly thereafter he went on to compete in and win the 2012 National Hammered Dulcimer Championship at the Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kansas. Matthew’s unique energy and style enchants his audience through Celtic favorites, old fashioned hymns, original pieces, and familiar folk songs. He released his first album in the summer of 2014 (When I’m Happy And I Know It), and his second (So Sings My Strings) in the summer of 2018.
With a genuine appreciation for great music and talent in multiple genres, he continues to reach for new heights in both style and performance as he represents himself as one of the best dulcimer players in the country.
Matthew resides with his wife and two sons in Aiken, South Carolina.
Steve Bakos and the Messiah Project in Nicaragua have been using WMP literature to reach to the far corners of their country since 2004. They were instrumental in translating WMP Scripture materials into the Miskito language to reach a people that had never heard of God’s love for them. The transformation in that region through the introduction of God’s Word is miraculous.
As a new believer, Steve began sharing the Gospel in 1988 in Northeast Oklahoma. God led him to start sharing the Gospel in Mexico in 1990 where he first began using WMP literature. In late 2002, the Lord opened yet another door to share the Gospel in Nicaragua.
Tom Faunce has been an active and enthusiastic ministry partner of WMP since 1985. As a veteran of the Vietnam War he experienced firsthand the emptiness and sorrow that war can bring. Through his ministry, Frontline Outreach, he is determined to take the greatest gift of all, the Word of God, to those who suffer and long for hope, forgiveness, and salvation.
Reaching out to those he fought against in his youth, Tom works to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the people of Vietnam and Cambodia, even finding an open path into Laos. The Lord has led him to Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Cuba, Bosnia, and Uganda bringing clothing and fresh water and seeing many come from darkness to light as God’s Word is heard and received.
So I don’t forget
