WMP is also amazed. This past fiscal year was a banner year for donations and new equipment. Sixty-nine container-size shipments were sent to 36 countries. We cannot thank the Lord enough for His wonderful provision.
The availability and effectiveness of free Scripture booklets in so many languages continues to drive up the number of orders for large amounts. New ministries discover this wonderful resource, adding to the growing network of distributors and the need to increase production to meet each request in a timely manner. The graph to the right illustrates the recent significant increase in requested quantities.
One of the four major languages produced by WMP is Portuguese, the official language of nine countries, stretching across four continents. It is spoken by an estimated 260 million people, making it the fifth-most-spoken language in the world. WMP has sent over 28 million Portuguese booklets to six of these countries since October, 2020. Even though 17 of our booklets are already printed in Portuguese, our distributors are asking that the remaining available titles be printed in Portuguese as soon as possible. The Bible Study on Genesis is in the final stages of proofreading and almost ready for publication.
Nelson D. continues: “The people of Angola are very open to the Word of God. Many of them desire to learn the Word of God and so the WMP material will help a lot in evangelizing and discipling souls that will be won.” For example, as Jacqueline gave Maru a Way to God booklet, Jacqueline said, “You need to fix your life.” Maru was on her way to attend a funeral. After the funeral Maru contacted Jacqueline asking, “Ja Mamma, did I do something wrong? Why did you tell me to fix my life? A lady at the funeral where I was told me the same thing! Please don’t abandon me. The booklet– the work that you are doing with us– it’s really important. I need to know more; please help me grow. I really want to give myself totally to God.”
WMP is excited about pallets of boxes recently sent to individual pastors in Belem, Teresina, and Aracaju, in Northern Brazil. These booklets will reach the Amazon River basin where 36,000 communities are without a church. Lucianao M. writes: “After 1 1/2 years of hard, but blessed evangelism work in the city of Tefé, interior Amazonas, we would like to thank World Missionary Press for providing the pallet full of The Way to God booklets. It has been very useful for announcing the gospel to the local inhabitants. This work is already bearing fruit for the Kingdom of God.”
Pallets have also been sent to Campo Grande, Vacaria, and Goiania, allowing evangelists and pastors to reach out in all directions from local distribution points, increasing the penetration of the gospel throughout Brazil.
[WMP has sent Portuguese language booklets to six countries within the last three years. Orders for Portugal and East Timor were sent through our small orders department. Cape Verde received 299,000 booklets. We sent 2,150,770 booklets to Angola, 514,800 booklets to Mozambique, and 8,902,460 booklets to Brazil. We praise the Lord and bless our financial supporters for giving us these opportunities to serve the Portuguese-speaking communities.]

Meet the Team: Ciara, Finance Department
I have been a stay-at-home mom for 11 years. When my youngest child started school, I knew it was time for me to go back to work. I was looking for a place that would be understanding of my parental responsibilities and where the work environment would be kind and compassionate. I discovered WMP through Indeed.com, and after I was hired, I learned that my in-laws regularly volunteer here!
My coworkers and the work environment are just what I was looking for. I love the grace and compassion everyone has for each other and how, as brothers and sisters in Christ, we are all working towards a common goal: the furthering of God’s Kingdom!
I started working in the Finance Department in April this year, helping process our donations. It has been a huge blessing to read the testimonies of our contributors and how God has been working in their lives. I have felt so moved by how generously they partner with WMP.
My husband and I celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary last month. We have two beautiful children. We own two cats and one dog. We love to go camping as a family and play board games together. In my alone time, I love to read, bake, and try my hand at various hobbies. Right now I am working with polymer clay paintings and quilling.
