Because of Him, we are the light, called to Share the Light.

This past year has seen transformative new beginnings for countless individuals around the world, thanks to your prayers and generosity and the distribution of World Missionary Press Scripture booklets. Lives have been transformed, churches have been planted, and disciples have been trained, as the Light that first shined in Bethlehem has dispelled darkness from the deserts of Africa, to the rainforests of Latin America, to the streets of Las Vegas, to the Summer Olympic Games in Paris, and beyond.

Throughout the Bible and world history, we see the Spirit and the Word working together to create, sustain, comfort, deliver, instruct, and empower humanity. In John 8:12 Jesus says, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

It was the dawning of a new day when the Light, who is the Word made flesh, born of the Spirit left Mary’s womb, entered our darkness, and tabernacled among us. In Matthew 5:14 Jesus says, “You are the light of the world…”, and the cross made the fullness of those words a reality!

Ancient writings and oral tradition Shared that Light for centuries, but God had something bigger in mind — the invention of the printing press in 1440. Through the printed page and modern technological advancements, we can all Share the Light with the masses like never before, as we press into 2025 through Him who strengthens us!

The Light revealed through WMP Scripture booklets brightens the pathways of people searching for hope and direction in life. The Way to God booklet led a 16-year-old girl involved in a cult to the Lord in Birmingham, England, and also helped bring a Muslim man into a relationship with Jesus. The sinner’s prayer on page 29 rescued a young man involved in immorality.

Sandra from Australia wrote, “I gave a God Loves You! booklet to a lady on the bus last week. The next day, she said the prayer at the back of the booklet and gave her life to Jesus. We are meeting this week for coffee and follow-up.”

Domasi Prison in Malawi frequently gets overlooked, as few visit this facility. Most inmates lack daily food and need God’s hope. Recently, WMP distributors visited the prison, bringing food, soap, Scripture booklets, and the Bible Study on John. “Many inmates were extremely happy about our visit. The good news shared in the booklets took away their hopelessness when they saw how God loves them.” As a result, a regular Bible study group now meets twice a week.

Millions of Scripture booklets were also distributed in South Asia to reach multitudes of children and adults with the hope that only Jesus can bring, Sharing the Light.

In the past 63 years, we have produced over 2.8 billion WMP Scripture booklets. However, the mission of Sharing the Light is still unfinished. Despite aiming to print 170 million booklets yearly, we are only reaching a minority of the over eight billion people on earth. The older generations who haven’t heard are running out of time. The Light needs to permeate each new generation, flow with technology, and penetrate closed and secularized countries, cultures, and societies. We must spread the gospel worldwide, reaching even the marginalized.

Helen W., our Director of Shipments, recently spoke at a conference attended by many of our coordinators in Africa. She said, “Before I got inside the conference door, a lady in the hall met me telling me what booklets she needed to order. The orders kept coming all week long, even as I was sitting waiting for my flight home.”

On a recent order from New Jersey, Daniel wrote, “There is a great hunger at my school for Jesus.”

A major distributor out of Mexico laments, this is “a time where children and youth are disturbed by what the world offers. In a world where technology advances quickly, youth must grasp God’s love to avoid confusion. It is sad to see how kids are lost in the world’s distractions.”

WMP distributors are active in 35 countries where Christians face persecution. Our brave distributors risk their lives to bring hope to a lost world. Adadu describes the militant-controlled northeast region of Nigeria as a place of “unique challenges, including deep-rooted religious extremism, widespread poverty, and difficult terrains. Yet, despite these challenges, the booklets have allowed Christians to make significant strides in spreading the message of Christ to even the most remote and resistant communities.”

In Myanmar, a woman’s husband was a translator for one of our distributors. He died suddenly when she was 22, and the distributor lost touch with her. She had a child by a second husband who died of cancer. She then had to flee to Thailand by swimming a river as bullets sprayed the water. Our distributor found her again in a refugee camp where she is still Sharing the Light using WMP Scripture booklets.
