Dear
Friend,
The
earthquake, tsunami, and ongoing
nuclear threat to the people
of Japan have rocked Japan. Many
missionaries and believers in Japan are trusting God for a spiritual
awakening among
the Japanese people. "The Lord has uniquely positioned us with one of
the largest and broadest networks of churches across the country,"
wrote J.H. of Asian Access. "We believe the Lord would
have us extend the transforming power of the gospel."
WMP
distributor Jerry R. has
only been receiving WMP booklets. He wrote, "We thank you for the
help you have granted us with Christian literature to evangelize Japan in
the midst of this present crisis. We hope you will continue to help us with
Japanese literature for this people who have rejected God for such a very
long time." In response, World
Missionary Press sent another
shipment of booklets in Japanese.
The booklet
Help From Above in
Japanese had been out of stock at WMP for some time. Recently
it was reprinted and put into inventory. Since then, opportunity arose to partner
with Feed the Hungry to get 44,000 double-size booklets in Japanese to
an organization of evangelical churches working in an area hardest hit by
the earthquake and tsunami. Teams are being sent out from those churches to
take humanitarian aid and the Word of God into shelters and various areas where
people are most affected by the devastation. We
praise God that He prompted us to do that recent
printing so that we had a supply to get into "the pipeline"
when the opportunity suddenly arose.
A
pastor in Japan reported his excitement that something is happening
spiritually in Japan, and the earthquake "is not for Japan’s
destruction, but for Japan’s salvation."
Please pray
for the people of Japan and for the fruitful distribution of God's Word.
Your friend in Christ,
Jay
