Surrendered to Jesus
"I am a condemned prisoner . . . During my life of 34 years I [lived] without knowing the Lord as Savior. I had no interest in reading the words of God from the Bible.
"However, when I was in prison this year I got some copies of Help from Above and Let’s Praise the Lord! They were so wonderful! For the first time in my life [there was] born in me a terrible, burning desire for reading the Word of God with deeper understanding through Brother O.P. He preached to us from John 3:16-17 that I am no longer condemned by Jesus Christ. That very day I surrendered to Jesus." O.D., Uganda
Booklet Helps In Praising the Lord
"I wanted to tell you how happy I am to have received a little booklet compiled by Watson Goodman entitled Let’s Praise the Lord!
"I found it at a public rest stop on the interstate while traveling. The trip I was making was to visit my dad who was near death due to having suffered a stroke.
"The compilation is so helpful! This past week I began to use the booklet in praising the Lord. Many of the Scriptures have been sung as choruses, and I recall the tunes from...years ago . . . Each morning now, with the aid of this little book, I find myself being filled up anew with the Spirit of the Lord." S.T., Texas
Built in His Salvation
"I am a child of God. I am saved, a newly-born person. Since I started reading your booklets, Let’s Praise the Lord! and Help from Above, I have been so blessed. They build me in my salvation . . . " N.M., South Africa
Ministry in a Hospital Waiting Room
"On July 16 I was with a couple of friends in the hospital waiting room. The husband of one was in surgery. We read Scripture, and later in the ICU waiting room we read Let’s Praise the Lord! A young man came in, but we kept reading softly. After he put down a paper, I asked if he would like my booklet. He joined in the reading.
"His wife had just had a miscarriage of their second child. We prayed for her, and learned that a Jehovah’s Witness had come to their house for a Bible study.
"When we left, I gave him a tract, then turned to ask if he would like to receive the Lord right then. He did, so we all held hands as I prayed and he repeated [the prayer] and accepted Christ.
"Next morning, my two friends visited the hospital and saw the man and spoke to him as their pastor and two other men came in also. They introduced the man, and he promised to visit [our church] with his wife.
"P.S. Please send more booklets!" L.Y., California
God Knows Our Needs
"Let me thank our God in Jesus’ name for His foreknowledge. He knows beforehand the things you need, and for that I now praise Him.
"Usually, on every Sunday, after seeing six days of vanity and my worthlessness, the Spirit has led me to know the importance of Sunday. As I got back from church today, even this Sunday, I received a package like the one received approximately one week and a half ago. I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that this is God in action.
"I was writing a thank-you letter, getting ready to ask, Could you please send some more booklets? But God already knew I needed them. The first one I looked at said, Let’s Praise the Lord! As long as I’m a servant of God, please continue as the Spirit leads. People will continue to be ministered to through these booklets. Time is running out for them. I thank and praise God for World Missionary Press." L.M., California
The Power of God Drove the Demons Away
"Firstly I would like to thank you and . . . everyone who helped in the printing of booklets you send me. Let’s Praise the Lord! booklets make a lot of people turn to see what we are doing on stages throughout Zimbabwe, when everyone was invited to "His Praise Choir." A lot of people just fell on the spot and start crying, tearing their clothes because of evil spirits . . . when we were reading through the booklet with them, because the power of God was working in them and the demons were driven away. A lot of people decided to join us and pray with us.
"We appeared in the most sinful place in Zimbabwe (Mbare) and preached the Word of God. One woman came [out of] the crowd and climbed on the stage and repented of her witchcrafting. She said she had killed many people but now she needed to let Jesus forgive her and she said she needed to be baptized. In Mbare we have a very big shortage of booklets because a lot of people there showed so much interest in reading and obeying God and stopped their bad deeds. So many were much excited and almost in tears by the booklets, Who Am I That A King Would Die in My Place? and The Way to God.
". . . I don’t know how I can thank you for the parcels you send me. Only God knows how pleased and happy I am. The most exciting is that the parcels you send me are almost finished during distribution of the Word of God and they are in demand now. So may you please help me again with hundreds or thousands of booklets...containing the Word of our holy God.
"Please teach me how to be a professional distributor, leader, or anything you need to teach me about God so that I can . . . be a missionary or any good man on earth. Yours, a fifteen-year-old boy in need." S.M., Zimbabwe
Booklet Is Full of Purpose
"I wish to inform you about how I got one of your booklets bearing the title, Let’s Praise the Lord!, compiled by Mr. Watson Goodman and how I will distribute it to people who are following and people who are willing to follow Christ Jesus.
"Well, I received your booklet from my younger sister. During the time I was studying your booklet, I experienced something great that I was not having until I put it into practice. I thank God for replenishing what was lost in my soul.
"Sir, your evangelistic booklet contains a lot which I think cannot be expressed in this sheet. It’s full of purpose; it contains words of encouragement and words of praise and worship; it even teaches one how to pray and whom to trust and rely on.
"Please, Christian Mission Resources Foundation (CMRF) needs about ten thousand copies or more for its mission to the needy areas as well as to be given to those in the church who don’t understand the Scriptures very well . . . As the Spirit touches your heart . . . we need your hand booklets very urgently." A.M., Ghana
