The Amazing Life of Jesus Christ
THE AMAZING LIFE OF JESUS CHRIST
Jesus Christ is not merely an outstanding person who lived
and died many years ago. According to the Scriptures, He is God the Creator, who
lived on earth as a man so that He might give His life-blood to rescue sinful
mankind from the power of sin and Satan and death. He is alive today and gives
eternal life to all who come to Him.
Accepting or rejecting Jesus Christ is a matter of life or death. "He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life (1 John 5:12). "Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).
May God become very real to you as you study the amazing life of Jesus Christ! "And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent" (John 17:3). Have you received Jesus into your heart as your personal Savior and Lord? If not, do it today.

The angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary.... Then the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; ... and of His kingdom there will be no end." Then Mary said to the angel, "How can this be, since I do not know a man?" And the angel answered and said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.... For with God nothing will be impossible." —Luke 1:26b-27, 30-37THE BIRTH OF JESUS — 6
. . . A decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered.... So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city. And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon [Satan] having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. And she bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. —Revelation 12:3-5aTHE BOYHOOD OF JESUS — 10
And the Child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with
wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him. His parents went to Jerusalem every
year at the Feast of the Passover. And when He was twelve years old, they went
up to Jerusalem. ... As
they returned, the Boy Jesus lingered behind in Jerusalem.... Supposing
Him to have been in the company, they went a day’s journey, and sought Him
among their relatives and acquaintances. So when they did not find Him, they
returned to Jerusalem, seeking Him.... After three days they found Him in the
temple,
sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them
and asking them questions. And all who heard Him were astonished at His
understanding and answers. So when they saw Him, they were amazed; and His
mother said to Him, "Son, why have You done this to us? Look, Your father
and I have sought You anxiously." And He said to them, "Why is it that
you sought Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s
business?"

And as He walked by the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. Then Jesus said to them, "Come after Me, and I will make you become fishers of men." And immediately they left their nets and followed Him. JESUS PREACHES GOOD NEWS — 14
Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him went out through all the surrounding region. And He taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all. So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read. And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written: "The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to preach the acceptable year of the LORD." Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him. And He began to say to them, "Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing."JESUS CLEANSES THE TEMPLE — 15
So they came to Jerusalem. And Jesus went into the temple and began to drive out those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold doves. Then He taught, saying to them, "Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations’? But you have made it a ‘den of thieves.’" —Mark 11:15, 17JESUS TEACHES ABOUT SIN

full of hypocrisy and lawlessness." —Matthew 23:28

Jesus... said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. JESUS OFFERS LIVING WATER — 17
So He came to a city of Samaria which is called Sychar.... Jesus therefore, being wearied from His journey, sat thus by the well.... A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, "Give Me a drink." . . . Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, "How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?" For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans. Jesus answered and said to her, "If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water. ... Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life." —John 4:5-10, 13-14JESUS TEACHES THROUGH PARABLES — 18
"Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. Now everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall" —Matthew 7:24-27JESUS TEACHES HOW TO BE BLESSED — 19
And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain . . . . Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying: "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. JESUS TEACHES ABOUT PRAYER — 20
Men always ought to pray and not lose heart. —Luke 18:lb"Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.’ And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God be merciful to me a sinner!’ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be abased, and he who humbles himself will be exalted." —Luke 18:10-14

JESUS TEACHES ABOUT BEING A DISCIPLE — 21
Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. Thank You for dying on the cross to take away my sins. I am sorry for the wrong things I have done. I receive You into my heart right now to be my Savior and Lord. I believe Your promise to make me a child of God. I trust You to give me strength day by day to live for You.
In Your name I pray, Amen.
