Close Encounter with Guerrillas
Here is a testimony about Eduardo Ruiz, a distributor in Colombia:
"During a trip to the city of Monteria, in the middle of the hot zone of the Colombian guerrillas, something extraordinary happened. As locals know, after 7 p.m. no one should drive on the highway between Monteria and Barranquilla because it is taken by the military and guerrillas. It was necessary to get back to Barranquilla that night because the WMP container had arrived in the port and needed to be [processed]. Eduardo went to the bus station and found a taxi which would take him to Barranquilla, a two-hour drive. It was a bit before 7 p.m.
"As they were driving, around 8 p.m., the car slipped after a curve and crashed into the mud on the side of the road, in the middle of the woods. To their surprise, there were a lot of people hidden in the woods dressed in military clothes and carrying guns. They soon realized they were dealing with guerrillas, who came out of the woods and pointed the guns at them. Eduardo and the taxi driver were ordered to get out of the car and were asked if they had any guns on them. Eduardo replied: 'Yes, I have a powerful weapon in my hand.'
"One of the guerrillas came closer, pointed the gun at him, and said, 'Give it to me.'
"Eduardo replied, 'The gun I have is the powerful Word of God,' and then took a handful of The Way to God booklets and gave one to that person and his partners. He began to preach the gospel to them all. As the guerrillas saw no bad intentions in Eduardo and the driver, they allowed them to continue [their journey]. The car started miraculously and before they [left], one of the guerrilla members said, 'Please pray for me. My mother is a Christian, and I haven't seen her in two years. God bless you for the work you're doing!'"

Not Giving Up

"We started giving out the booklets you sent in the Chinese language and observed that many Chinese people refused to accept them, but that is no reason to give up. We strive to reach them so they can experience the great joy of having Jesus in their lives and assurance of eternal life. It's a great challenge and encouragement to us to go on, and we are really thankful that you are our partner in sharing the Word of God by these booklets. For every soul saved, you share with us the crown of reward in heaven which awaits us there."

Inmates Desperate for Date books
"Thank you so much for the blessing of the 2007 Scripture-text Datebook for use in the prison ministry here at Florence West. If it is possible, may we receive more? The men grabbed the Datebooks like a drowning man a straw! I never have seen anything like it! I have never heard so many thank you's. 'Thank you so much!' 'Thank you!'
"The Lord has blessed us here at the prison with many salvation decisions - 1000 plus in four and one half years - and many recommitments of lives to Christ Jesus our Lord. Fourteen [inmates] were saved Sunday night! The Lord is so good!
"Thank you for being a part of the ministry here and making us a part of your life. Please continue to pray for us as we sow and reap. The fields are white unto harvest!"
