Dragged From the Pit of Darkness

Need for Arabic New Testaments
"We use the Arabic New Testament in many different ways. Every correspondence course participant receives a New Testament to help them complete the courses. We send the New Testaments to prison inmates, we offer them through our Arabic magazine, and we send them free to anyone who asks for one. We give them away at Arabic gatherings, festivals, conferences. We mail a lot overseas and in the United States and Canada. I believe the Word of God is a great tool to reach the Arab people.
"This morning I met with a man from overseas to discuss the best tool to use to reach Arab people for Christ. He said that printed matter, the Word of God, is the best way to learn about Christianity. He said in his country, 99% of his people have never had a Bible, New Testament, or any other Christian material. They know nothing about Christ. There are millions of people in this situation. Please pray for us in this area to find the right way to send the Word of God to these people. This man said, 'The government of my country is not afraid of tanks, planes, or pilots now in our land from the west, but is afraid of the black and white printed Word of God!' I believe the Word of God has the power and is alive today, and those who read it will turn to God and leave their wicked way. This Word of God will move them from darkness to light as the psalmist wrote in Psalm 119:130, '...The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.' "

Booklets Provide Sound Theology
"Praise God! As I write this in my church office, I have a copy of A Basic Study of New Testament Scriptures by Watson Goodman. I have been using it as foundational for the past five Sundays to teach walking with God as His children. The booklet is valuable, and I believe the church leaders to whom I gave copies will testify the same.

Found Precious Booklet in a Phone Booth
"A few months ago I passed a pay phone and saw something lying on it. I checked what it was, and it said Meditations in the Psalms. I put it in my purse, and at night I use it to read myself to sleep. When I go anywhere, it goes in my purse. I try to get to the bus stop early, so I have time to read it as I wait for the bus.
"I have a large-print Bible which is heavy and falling apart. It is 16 years old and hard to hold as I lay in bed. So this is perfect, and I love to carry God's Word with me. I have a small paperback of the Gospel of John. I carry it; but the print is so small, it is hard for me to see it. But, I can see the print of your booklet as long as the light is good. Thank you, and thank God for people like you...."
