Evangelists Trained to Reach Every Home

“Once again thank you very much for the Malagasy booklets that we received from you. These booklets are vital in our visitations from home to home, taking the saving message of Jesus to folk that have never had the opportunity to hear about Jesus. Last year we trained more than 80 evangelists/pastors to reach every home for Christ in their towns and surrounding areas. Since then, we have trained more evangelists, and they are now reaching out to each home here in the Mahajanga province of Madagascar. Many folk have made commitments to follow Jesus.

“We also use the booklets very effectively in the local prison here in Mahajanga. There are usually more than 600 men and women in prison at a time, and the turnover is about 80 per month. Very often one of the three WMP booklets is given to each prisoner, and then the message of the day is taken out of the message in the booklet and every prisoner is able to follow. Many, many prisoners are brought to Jesus, and many of those who are already released from prison have continued to serve the Lord. It is very common to see the prisoners happy, with large smiles on their faces.”

Native Doctor Surrenders Fetishes

“We received the two cartons of Help From Above in French and The Way to God in English, and we thank God for your faithfulness. We delayed to reply because all the prison’s volunteers were very busy in the work of distribution, conducting Bible studies in Romans for seven prisons, reconciling some criminals with their families, and organizing seminars and workshops.

“A native doctor surrendered all his fetishes and gave his life to Christ after reading your booklet, The Way to God.”

Joy Is Source of Strength

I think I have already written that we have 3,000 correspondents, and we send out 500-600 book packages monthly. This positive attitude towards our work gives us joy and encouragement, and joy is always the source of new strength. You have really caused us joy with your mail.”

Boy Refuses to Worship Idols

“I want to request a Holy Bible from you.... When I was eight years old, I didn’t know God. Why? Because all my family worshiped gods, and I am not interested in worshiping gods. So my father told me that if I will not worship his gods, I should leave his house. On my way going, I met a man who said, ‘My son, God loves you very well.’ I asked: ‘Which god?’ He said, ‘Almighty God,’ and the man prayed for me. One day a friend gave me one small book like a Bible, and I read the part that says, ‘Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved.’ I [took] this quotation to my father. My father slapped me, and I went back to where I sleep.

“One day I was there, and my father came to me and said I should go and help him to throw his gods away because the quotation has changed his mind. I helped him to throw the gods in a river and he asked me who gave me this small book. I told him that my friend did, and he said I should write to you to bring us more copies to his family and his friends.”

Pastor Teaches from Booklets
