Saved Through Booklet Found in Garbage  

"My name is Oscar.... I was addicted to alcohol for three years. I had a vice and many problems and didn't find any way out. "One morning I [was walking] on a street that was nothing but a garbage dump, but in the middle of the garbage I found a booklet called El Poder de Dios (The Power of God). I read it and at the end of this booklet there was an address. I wrote to that address. Then I began to believe that the power of God was sufficient to change me. 

"Five days later, Brother Walter Paz visited me and prayed with me. I accepted Christ and gave up my vice from that day until today. Now I am serving in my church. I love the Lord and hope that you will help me in prayer.

Believers Encouraged to Serve

Initially, I didn't expect to gain anything because I have read the Gospel of John many times, but I was extremely surprised by the way it helped me gain a deeper understanding of the Lord."

"Several years ago you sent me a couple copies of [many] languages in which Help From Above was available. I have had occasion to distribute them in Albanian, Arabic, Spanish, Croatian, and Swahili. 

"Many workers in local restaurants are native to countries around the world, and I've had opportunities to distribute Help From Above to quite a few, both Christian and Muslim. "I've learned how to say ‘Thank you' or ‘How are you doing?'  in about twelve languages. These are magic words, really, because I get asked why I bothered to learn them. Why, indeed! Because I have good news in their language and had ten seconds to tell them.

Excited about New Bible Studies  

"I thank you very much for all the booklets that you sent to me. I praise God for them. I took copies of these booklets to a local church here, and they are so excited about the possibility of starting new Bible studies using these booklets. The coloring books will help them to increase their work with the local street children and the orphanages.
