Word Ministers in Desperate Situations
God is at work, and
part of that work happens through Scriptures printed and shipped by World
Missionary Press. We rejoice in the privilege of networking with you and
Almighty God in the cause of sharing His powerful Word with millions around the
world.
On October 13, 2010, the worlds attention was riveted on the Chilean mine
disaster as the first of 33 miners, trapped for 69 days in the depths
of the earth, was pulled to the surface in a specially designed steel cage
winched up through the rescue shaft. Church bells rang, and an uncle of the
father of two said, This is a miracle of God! It was. For the first 17
days, all were believed to be dead.
What the world may not have realized was that the trapped miners had been
listening to recordings of sermons, Bible studies, and Christian music a
half-mile underground through the efforts of Chilean engineer Igor Bravo, who
was part of the rescue effort.
When called upon to pray for the desperate miners at one point as the mine
started to crack, Pastor Javier Soto declared Psalm 95:4 through telephone
contact and told them that God was in control. Many of the miners then gave
their hearts to Jesus with the help of a brother in Christ among them.
Every Home for Christ workers also sent gospel literature down into the mine as
well as sharing it with the families of the rescued miners, cameramen,
journalists, and authorities. How thrilling it was to see a photo of rescued
miners holding copies of A Bible Study on John from World Missionary
Press! What comfort and encouragement God's Word brings to those in
desperate situations! Two months ago, WMP's coordinator, EHC's national
director, eagerly received a container shipment of literature from WMP for
distribution throughout his country, where demand is high.
The earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear threat that shocked Japan and
the world resulted in massive loss of life and destruction. In response to the
crisis, ministries and individual Christian workers requested and received quick
printings and shipments of thousands of Help From Above, The Power of
God, and The Way to God Scripture booklets in Japanese. A pastor in
Japan reported his excitement that something is happening spiritually in Japan,
and the earthquake "is not for Japan's destruction, but for Japan's
salvation."
In Pakistan, where persecution of Christians continues, WMP's national
coordinator Nadeem M. has translated Bible study booklets and salvation coloring
books into Urdu and printed them by the thousands for distribution to students
and teachers in Christian schools and to Christian laymen who have had very
little teaching from the Bible. How important is the teaching of God's truth in
the midst of efforts by cults and other religions! An isolated village of
Hindus, which had come to Jesus through the teaching of WMP Scripture
booklets, invited Nadeem to come and teach them more about Jesus, which he
gladly did.
Workers in Indonesia requested 150,000 copies each of The Way to God
and Help From Above for areas where doors of evangelism are open in spite
of restrictions.
Since 1994, when World Missionary Press joined hands with Every Home for Christ
South Africa with a promise to eventually provide six million 2-in-1
Scripture booklets in nine African languages for distribution there, these
gospel booklets have played a significant role in an Every House Campaign that has
yielded 913,098 responses to the gospel!
In southern Africa's kingdom of Lesotho, workers were overjoyed to
receive a large supply of Scripture booklets and Bible study booklets. It is
exciting to see people receive your materials with thrilling hearts. One
recipient testified, "After reading WMP Scripture booklets, I was filled
with joy. I decided to accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Now I am a
child of God." The Spirit of God uses His Word to accomplish His
purposes.
Why do we do what we do? Because without salvation through Jesus Christ, man
will spend eternity separated from God. And because of the urgent,
passionate, all-consuming need to tell each person on earth of an eternal
hope before it is too late.
During the past year, WMP produced and shipped three 40-foot containers (with
6,085,350 pieces of literature in Portuguese) to Erno Engelsdorf, our
national coordinator in Brazil (the world's fifth-largest country, with
over 190 million population). Erno prayerfully allocates the booklets to
thousands of waiting distributors throughout the country. Cults, spiritism, and
false religions all fill any void where the Word of God is not found. Believers
are ready and focused. They look to World Missionary Press for the tools. What a
huge, continuing need for the Word of God!

Last year World Missionary Press completed it's 50th year of ministry. WMP
has provided 1.674 billion Scripture booklets in 337 languages for 210 countries
free of charge. That is our calling. By God's grace and enablement, we intend
to continue printing and shipping Scripture booklets, Bible study booklets,
salvation coloring books, and New Testaments to eager distributors in numerous
nations.
We challenge you
to "bring your best game" to your involvement with World Missionary
Press. There is no greater cause than to share God's life-giving Word with men,
women, boys, and girls who are headed for an eternity in hell. There is
nothing more significant that you can do with your life than to help others
find HOPE, PEACE, and JOY in a personal eternal relationship with our Lord Jesus
Christ.

on Giving Every
dollar donated to WMP provides for the production and shipping of
20-25 power-packed 48-page Scripture booklets, or its equivalent
volume, on average.
1. Remembering WMP in their will enables donors to leave an
eternal legacy, often at a crucial time of opportunity.
2. Transferring appreciated stocks as a tax-deductible

3. Sponsoring a roll of paper for an average of $1,080
appeals to many. Each 35-inch wide, 1,500-pound roll of dead paper
comes alive as it emerges from WMP's web press, with the powerful

World Missionary Press currently uses a 2-color Hashimoto press to print
this 4-color newsletter and 4-color covers of Scripture booklets and Bible
studies. As we have printed more and more 4-color covers, we have had to
outsource the printing of many millions of 4-color covers.
Instead of printing only two colors at a time, we need to be able to
print four colors at a time. Or even to print four colors on one side
and two colors on the other side with just one pass of the paper through the
press (instead of three passes).
Result: savings in time, money, and man-power and more flexibility in
scheduling.
WMP's Board of Directors has approved setting up a fund for gifts designated
for a printing press, so that when just the right press becomes available,
it can be approved and funded as quickly as possible. Please
pray with us for God's guidance and provision of significant funding for
this capital need. Literature
Displays Available
Small cardboard racks displaying WMP Scripture booklets and Bible studies
are available for churches, businesses, doctors' offices, restaurants -
wherever permission is given to place one.
As WMP representative Fred Eiler unloaded boxes of Scripture booklets from
his trailer in a church parking lot, a lady approached him. Pointing to the
pictures of Scripture booklets on the trailer, she said, "I read
those booklets before I read the Bible." She then shared with Fred
that when she saw that the booklets on a display were free, she took some
and read them. Later she received Jesus as her Savior.
An Indiana farmer debated whether to take a display for the seed-corn sales
office in his barn. Though he knew the display was free, he didn't want to
waste WMP money by taking one for a low traffic area. Fred responded, "If
one person takes only one booklet EVER and gets saved, would it be worth it?"
The farmer said, "I'll take one!"
Can you prayerfully place a booklet display and keep it supplied with
booklets? Write, call, or e-mail and ask for a business display. If

of Faith
We believe
the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible authoritative Word of God.
We believe that there is one God eternally existent in three persons:
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus
Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His
vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily
resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His
personal return in power and glory.
We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful men, regeneration by
the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential and that salvation comes by grace
through faith in Jesus Christ alone. We believe in the present ministry of
the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly
life. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost - those
who are saved unto the resurrection of life and those who are lost unto the
resurrection of damnation. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in
our Lord Jesus Christ. Letting
us know of address changes or seasonal addresses (with dates) will save
funds for ministry.

• This past fiscal year WMP produced 42,677,060 Scripture booklets the
size of Help From Above; 2,772,274 Bible studies; 348,862 salvation
coloring books; and 52,000 New Testaments.
• All 46 paid workers (28 full-time), including the president, receive
the same modest hour ly wage.
• Hundreds of volunteers per month save thousands of dollars.
• Cost per 48-page booklet, inclu ding overhead, was 4.4 cents each on
average. Every dollar contributed for Scripture booklets produces booklets
for 20-25 people.
