2011 March Vision Letter
PDF VERSION
Every Home for Christ (EHC), a partner of World Missionary Press in 53 nations,
has taken up the task of a home-to-home outreach in Laos. WMP's part in this
campaign is to provide 104,000 copies of the double-size Help From Above Scripture
booklet in Lao. Sending boxes of booklets directly into Laos is not
possible, but they can be taken in from a neighboring country. This is an
exciting and challenging opportunity to encourage and support the growing Church
in Laos and to reach into dark tribal areas with the light of God's Word. EHC
workers are expecting a great harvest of souls from this distribution.
[You can help reach people in Laos. A $50 gift will reach 625 people with
the double-size Help
From Above. A $500 gift will reach 6,250!]
EHC has also asked for WMP booklets to assist in an outreach in Papua New
Guinea. In this mountainous nation of more than 800 diverse languages and
ethnic peoples, reaching every home means long days of arduous trekking
over mountain passes, fording streams, and facing potential danger from tribal
rivalries. The gospel has a presence among almost all of the peoples in PNG, but
the new challenge is to strengthen believers to resist sliding into a
cold faith and one mixed with ancient animistic teachings and traditions.
Many of the languages requested for the Papua New Guinea campaign have
not been printed by WMP for 25 years. These include Elimbari, Gawigl, Hamtai,
Mufian, and Yagaria. Such strange sounding names are not strange to
the ear of God. He hears and speaks every language with the same love and
compassion. Manasa K., EHC's regional director for the Pacific, reports that in
some of the countries in this area, literature distribution is particularly
effective because one booklet will reach an average of five people. The
1,475 boxes (containing 453,900 booklets) destined for PNG have a potential to

Booklets for EHC South Africa
The home-to-home distribution of Every Home for Christ in South Africa
includes a special 2-in-1 publication from WMP. The booklets Help From Above
and The Way to God are combined in one 48-page double-size booklet. A
response card is also inserted in the center of each booklet to enable readers
to seek counsel or indicate that they have accepted Christ. These booklets,
printed in nine languages, have been amazingly fruitful.
In 1994 World Missionary Press joined hands with EHC with a promise to provide
six million 2-in-1
Scripture booklets in nine African languages for distribution in South Africa.
Those gospel booklets have played a significant role in the Every House Campaign
that has now yielded 913,098 responses to the gospel
(from www.ehcsa.co.za).
"A man visited our lodge and introduced to us the wonderful booklet called The
Way to God/Help From Above," wrote Mrs. M.W. from South Africa.
"We shared these booklets with our 40 staff members. Each received a copy
in Zulu. Each one of our workers, as well as my husband and I, prayed the
prayer [for salvation] on page 15. Thank you for sharing the Word of life
with people like us."
The 40-ft. container being prepared
for EHC South Africa will include 800,000 of these 2-in-1 booklets. Booklets in
French, Portuguese, and Simplified Chinese will also be included to reach
immigrants in South Africa.
[Generous involvement by many people is needed to finance this container filled
with God's powerful Word. Please pray for God’s amazing provision.] Overseas
Printings On Hold Due to Lack of Funds
In Myanmar, Martin L. has requests pending for 50,000 copies of God
Loves You salvation coloring books ($10,000) and 100,000 How to Know God booklets
in Burmese ($5,000). The growing Burmese Church still faces many restrictions,
and sending Christian literature into the country is hazardous. To serve the
believers of Myanmar, WMP finances the printing of various languages and titles
for the country's ethnic minorities. When funds are not available to print
there, no WMP literature is available. The 50 million people, predominately
Buddhist, need a silent witness such as a powerful booklet with Scripture verses
designed to introduce them to the one true God. How to Know God offers
that witness.
In Pakistan, WMP's national coordinator Nadeem M. continues to translate
WMP literature into Urdu, including salvation coloring books. He has requested
25,000 copies of God Loves You ($6,716) and 20,000 copies He Is Risen!
($5,375) to be printed there. Civil unrest has created a dangerous
environment for believers. In this environment the work of the Lord goes on. His
people are faithful and are looking for support such as strong gospel literature
from their brothers and sisters in Christ.
Indonesia also has a great need for support through financing of
in-country printing. Literature in the languages of Indonesia cannot be imported
into the country. Frans K has been a long-time faithful distributor and printer
in Indonesia. He is requesting 25,000 copies of A Bible Study on John ($3,125),
25,000 copies of A Bible Study on Matthew ($2,500), 50,000
[You can designate your gift for one of these countries if you wish. A $100
gift will go a long way in providing God's life-changing Word.]
Urgent Request as we go to press: EHC Indonesia needs booklets for areas
"where doors of evangelism are open" ---150,000 each of The Way to
God and Help From Above ($10,950) are needed in March. It's
Time to Start Planning for VBS
For your Vacation Bible School project this summer, WMP offers some terrific
ideas to help your young people share the gospel with children around the world.

One delighted VBS leader wrote, "Enclosed is a check in the amount of

THE
SMALL SOUTHEAST ASIAN NATION of Laos is ruled by communism, an economic
and political system that denies the existence of God. God, however, is very
much alive in Laos. In the face of persecution and rigid limitations, the
Church is growing in this nation of 6.5 million predominantly Buddhist people.
The continuing challenge in Laos is to reach the many ethnic
groups who have yet to hear the gospel for the first time (Operation World
2010).
reach more than two million people. What a tremendous impact for the kingdom of
God! One item we are working on is the salvation coloring book He Is
Risen! in Tok Pisin (left), one of the primary languages of PNG. EHC workers
are eager to translate even more WMP titles into some of these languages.
Contracting printing of Scripture booklets overseas is a vital part of WMP's
production. In some cases these printings are the only way to keep a continual
supply of booklets available to national leaders. However, we can authorize
printings only as funds are available, and with the recent slow-down of in-plant
printing, we were not been able to approve any waiting requests from overseas
printers.
Indonesian He
Is Risen! salvation coloring books ($10,000), and 50,000 bilingual
English/Indonesian How to Know God ($3,000) to support the spread of the
gospel in that populous Muslim nation.
"We chose the 'box' suggestion of Scripture booklets (520 booklets per box
at .04/booklet). We used the visual of stacking boxes in a real canoe as money
came in at $20/box. In the end we had 44 boxes in our canoe. Each box was
labeled '520 Scripture booklets.' Some additional money came in the night of the
program from parents and others. God bless you in your work of getting the Word
into the hands of so many people. We were glad to be able to share in
that."
