VALUABLE AND PRECIOUS IS LIGHT! It dispels darkness. It
brings hope to those in despair. It guides those who are lost. It comforts those
who are afraid. Jesus Himself does just that - He
dispels darkness, brings hope, guides the lost, comforts those who are afraid. Jesus is the true light. He
gives light to everyone - no matter where they live, the color of their skin,
the language they speak. Through God's Word we share Jesus,
the light of the world. As millions of Scripture booklets in 333 languages,
Bible study booklets, and New Testaments go out from World Missionary Press, the
light is spread. Hope springs up around the world in souls of men and
women, boys and girls. You can help share the light, spread
the hope, through special Christmas gifts described below: Special
Gift Ideas To Keep Scripture Booklets Moving Focused Christmas gift projects help move God's
Word to those who desperately need it: Gift Idea #1 - A Mile of Paper A mile of paper for our large
web press. Each mile of paper prints 7,083 Scripture booklets and costs $90.33.
Gift Idea #2 - A Roll of Paper A roll of paper to keep the press
rolling. Rolls of paper that are literally "dead" come alive
as God's Word is printed on them. Each 1,500-lb. 35-inch wide roll is twelve
miles long and prints the insides of 85,000 Scripture booklets. What awesome
potential for leading souls into God's kingdom! Each wide roll of paper costs
$1,084. A half-roll costs $542 and prints 42,500 booklets. Gift Idea #3 - Pounds of Ink Ten pounds of black ink for the
web press costs $9.40 and prints powerful words from God's heart on the
pages of about 75,000 48-page topical Scripture booklets; 100 pounds of ink
costs $94.00 and prints God's powerful Word on the pages of 750,000
booklets. A whole drum of ink (450 pounds) costs $423. Gift Idea #4 - Boxes for Packing Booklets 500 sturdy packing boxes, each
of which carries 10 pounds (more than 500 Scripture booklets) to some
destination on our globe, cost $118.80. These boxes are shipped to us
flat. Volunteers open them and tape the end flaps firmly, so they are ready to
be filled with Scripture booklets. Other volunteers scoop Scripture booklets off
the conveyor belt as they come through the bindery - stapled, trimmed, and cut
apart - 30,000 per hour.

Idea #5 - Shipping Full Boxes
Gift Idea #6 - Containers for Africa
We have in hand requests from our
national coordinators in Africa for six 40-foot containers filled
with Scripture booklets and Bible study booklets in local languages. These
containers, with 10,000,000 Scripture booklets on board in various languages,
will be divided among distributors in nine nations - Rwanda, Ethiopia (including
booklets to be forwarded to Eritrea, Djibouti, and Somalia), Nigeria,
Uganda, Kenya, and Ghana.
A major ministry partner, Every Home
for Christ, reports amazing increase in responsiveness in recent years - people
who are responding hungrily to the gospel message, giving their hearts to
God, and becoming involved with local believers. In 2010, 10,599,032 responses
to gospel presentations were received in EHC offices around the world. That's 29,038
responses per day! God is at work through His Word. The Ethiopia and Rwanda
containers and half of the Uganda container are for EHC national directors.
The need is great. Some of WMP's
national coordinators have been waiting for more than a year for a new supply of
literature.

Gift Idea #7 - Salvation Coloring Books for
Pakistan
A door of opportunity has opened to
reprint 20,000 salvation coloring books in the Urdu language for children in
Pakistan. What a powerful tool to minister to both children and their
parents as teachings from God's Word are read and taken to heart! These coloring
books cost 28.5 cents each to print in Pakistan.
[Your contribution of $285 will
print 1,000 32-page salvation coloring books for Pakistani children. A gift of
$570 will reach 2,000 Pakistani children and their parents.]
Gift Idea #8 - Scriptures for China
Every month, one million mainland
Chinese visit Hong Kong and Macau as tourists. A ministry based in Hong Kong
has 40 full-time staff busy reaching many of these tourists with the good news
about salvation through Jesus Christ. The leader of this ministry wrote, "I
truly feel it is of the Lord for us to connect again for this purpose, as we
have been praying for the Lord to open up more materials for our ministry."
What an awesome opportunity to touch hundreds of thousands of Chinese with
God's Word!
We would like to load a 20-foot
ship container with 900,000 48-page Scripture booklets, 94,000 Bible studies
on John, and 8,000 salvation coloring books in Simplified Chinese, to be
prayerfully handed to interested tourists before they head back to mainland
China. These Chinese materials will cost about $56,000 to produce. $100
will provide for 2,000 Scripture booklets; $45 will provide 300 Bible
studies on John.

truly helpful and gratefully put to good use for this container project or for
future shipments to Hong Kong to reach tourists from China.]
Gift Idea #9 - Hope for Prisoners 
A prison worker wrote, "The Datebooks
are always full of words of instruction, encouragement, and help that our
offenders need to aid them in their everyday lives while incarcerated, to assist
in their rehabilitation, and to support them when they make it back out to the
free world. This resource is always enthusiastically received."
What a privilege it is to send hope
to a prisoner - actually to thousands of prisoners - through the World
Missionary Press Scripture-text Datebook 2012. This year we have printed 825,000
Datebooks, most of which will go to chaplains and prisoners who find them a
source of encouragement and hope in the midst of long, lonely days. Each Datebook
contains 365 carefully-selected Scripture verses that point to God's love,
presence, and offer of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
A prisoner wrote from Texas, "Thank
you for all you are doing to help me come closer to Jesus' love through the
words I read daily from your Scripture-text Datebook. In prison,
sometimes the only light that shines in here is from the love of God . . .
."
[You can reach 100 inmates with
their personal Datebook for a gift of $12; or reach 1,000 for an investment of
$120.]
Gift Idea #10 - Arabic
Scriptures
To be included on the containers for Ethiopia
and Nigeria, WMP will produce 625 boxes of Arabic Help From
Above, How to Know God, The Way to God, and A Bible Study on Genesis (277,500
Scripture booklets and 8,400 Bible study booklets). What exciting potential
for sharing the love of God with those who need to know Him!
[You can provide for 10 boxes (more
than 5,000 Arabic booklets) for a gift of $250. An investment of $1,000 will
provide for 40 boxes (more than 20,000 Arabic booklets).
Update
on WMP Production
We praise God for enabling World
Missionary Press to produce 45,820,200 Scripture booklets, Bible studies,
New Testaments, and salvation coloring books during the most recent fiscal year
(including 2,664,940 through outside printings).
Included were 218,270 He Is
Risen! salvation coloring books in Indonesian, Spanish, Tok Pisin, and Urdu
as well as 130,592 God Loves You salvation coloring books in
Burmese, English, and Mizo.
In terms of production volume -
relating all publications to the size of Help From Above - we produced
the equivalency of 57,368,791 Scripture booklets (an average of 4,780,733 per
month). Though production had to be drastically cut during a number of
months during the past fiscal year, the Lord enabled us to end the year
strongly. We praise God for this significant amount of printing.
WMP sent 59 freight shipments,
including 24 ship containers (13 were 40-foot containers and 11 were
20-foot). Containers were shipped to four African nations, seven Central and
South American nations, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Cuba (via The Canadian Bible
Society), India, Finland, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, and Pakistan.
The need is great, and we ask
you to please trust God with us for provision to increase production so
that we can at least average 6 million per month for our 51st fiscal
year. The urgent need is to actually increase production, even to 9
million a month in-plant (we have the facility, the people, and the equipment to
do so). As funding increases for paper and shipping, we will gladly do the work.
Many WMP coordinators have to wait for a year or more for a container
shipment to replenish the supplies of God's Word in their nations. Thank you
