May 2005 Vision Letter
For the Kingdom of God in Ghana & Uganda
"I received two of your booklets entitled How to Know God and The Way to God
from one of my friends; they led me to repentance. The Word of God is spoken in my area, but
only a few people accept it due to the difficulties Christians have been going
through. A lot of people still believe in Juju and other powers rather than
the Word of God. Due to this I was always afraid to accept Christ as
my Savior until recently, when I received this message from your booklets.
The booklets really advise me how to know God and the steps one can pass
through before coming into contact with God, which can only be done through
Jesus Christ, His Son.”—D.M., Ghana
(Picture upper left) Distributors in Ghana eagerly come for
boxes of Scripture booklets sent from World Missionary Press.
This powerful testimony reflects much of the challenge to the gospel in Ghana
today. According to Operation World, over 64 percent of Ghanaians
call themselves Christians, but only 12 percent are regular church attenders.
Traditional views and practices are mixed with claims of being a Christian.
The clear teaching of Scripture, guided by the Holy Spirit, will reveal truth
to receptive hearts. As the Church in Ghana catches the vision of reaching
their nation, it will need the firm foundation found in God’s Word.

World Missionary Press has been providing literature for the
ongoing work of the gospel in Ghana for many years. Benjamin Boateng, WMP’s
national coordinator, and other faithful distributors have used millions of
booklets to help establish churches and individual believers, as well as
offering countless souls the truth of how to know God. A 40-foot
container of booklets and Bible study books in 14 languages is being prepared
for shipment to Brother Boateng. This provision will last only a few months
after it arrives, as distributors are already eagerly awaiting the new supply.

A 40-foot container to carry about two million Scripture booklets is also
being prepared for WMP’s national coordinator in Uganda. This East African
nation, once called “the Pearl of Africa,” has endured terrible suffering.
During the 70’s and 80’s hundreds of thousands of people died as a result
of cruel dictatorial rule. Through much tribulation Christians in Uganda have
kept their faith and become strong. Reports now show that the Church in Uganda
is thriving.
A pastor who learned of the availability of WMP literature in Uganda wrote,
“We have been so much praying and searching for this great gospel
evangelism tool (the Luganda, English, and other booklets) for a very
long time. We deeply thank God for this divine networking to do His will and
[distribute] His Word in Uganda.” —Pastor G.K.
Another Ugandan pastor wrote, “Thank you for the great work you’re doing
for the expansion of God’s kingdom. Here in Uganda these [booklets] are doing
a wonderful job in turning people’s lives towards the kingdom of heaven.
Therefore, you are kindly requested to send us as much gospel materials as you
can in order to enable us to go ahead with this work.”
—Pastor S.K.
The two million booklets in this new shipment will not last
long. After receiving his previous shipment, WMP’s national coordinator
William Ssentumbwe reported, “All the booklets you sent to us are finished.
They came when people were very hungry. We gave them to Sudan, Zaire, Rwanda,
Kenya, and Uganda—mainly to schools, churches, people who preach on the
streets, and missions. [Multitudes] have accepted Jesus Christ. We can never
thank you enough.”
God is making up His kingdom—drawing souls and building up His Church. How
wonderful to be a part of His plan and work among precious African souls!

Shipment to Bulgaria to Reach Many
Europeans
A recent shipment to a distributor in Bulgaria included
Scripture booklets in Albanian, Bulgarian, Croatian, Greek, Macedonian,
Romanian, Serbian, and Turkish. Over 500 boxes of Help From Above, How to
Know God, The Way to God, and other titles will help reach many in
Eastern European countries that were so closed to the gospel for many years.
