God's Word Bears Fruit in Many Hearts

For about 42 years God has allowed World Missionary Press to help supply seed, the precious Word of God, for thousands of sowers around the world. This past fiscal year WMP sent nine 40-foot ship containers carrying almost 20 million Scripture booklets, Bible study booklets, and New Testaments. These "seed packets" went to Ghana, India, Brazil, Tanzania, and South Africa.

Other large freight shipments went to Ecuador, Haiti, Ivory Coast, Honduras, Colombia, Panama, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Cuba, Togo, Kazakhstan, Malta, Finland, Russia, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Namibia, Sri Lanka, and Mozambique. In each of these faraway places distributors were waiting for the precious seed. They carefully and prayerfully gave out the Scripture portions to hearts hungry for Truth. The seed was also watered by prayer. In remote villages and teeming cities, wherever the seed had been planted, God gave the increase. New life sprang up and hope was born. Where once there was barrenness and despair, the Light of the world now shone in the hearts of men and women as they heard and received the Word of God.

A man in Argentina goes to the post office every few weeks to receive his shipment of WMP booklets in Spanish. He has been receiving WMP booklets for almost 10 years. He writes, "I look forward to placing The Way to God in the hands of eager kids so open to receiving that lovely booklet which can . . . point them to God. And Help From Above always comes in handy when I encounter folk humble enough to look for help from our good God through His holy Word. . . . I beg you to keep them coming in the measure that God enables you . . . ." –R.M.

From Bolivia: "Through the years we have passed out many Scripture portions. In Bolivia people would rarely turn down a Scripture portion as we tell them it is verses selected from the Word of God." –J.M.

A missionary in Mexico writes, "Wow! I received 250 boxes of New Testaments, Scripture booklets, and Bible studies. I don't know how, but the instant I got home with my 250 boxes I started getting phone calls [asking for material]. One pastor needed some Bible studies for a December church outreach, so I was able to give him 200 Bible studies on John. Thanks be to God for these wonderful opportunities to pass on the Word of God." –A.C.

Although the increase God gives from each small seed is known only to Him, there are times when He encourages our hearts by allowing us to see Him work in the lives of many people through one small Scripture booklet.

"A hospital in Indonesia has some racks with gospel tracts, among them booklets from WMP. One day a very sick patient took a copy of The Way to God to his home. He read it, and he and his wife accepted Christ. . . . He was baptized in the hospital. Before he died, he gave the booklet to his daughter. She read it and was saved also. Now she is a Sunday-school teacher. She shared The Way to God with her Sunday-school class who are from Muslim backgrounds. They, too, accepted Jesus the Lord and Savior. Praise God!" –K.S.

A distributor in Nicaragua writes, "We thank the Lord for the great harvest of people that you are reaching by means of the Word of God printed in WMP booklets. We have seen the salvation of thousands of people reached by means of the booklets, Help From Above, The Way to God, and How to Know God. We can testify with all sincerity that the printed Word of God has the power of God to save sinners." –I.E.

Among India's millions God is bringing many to Himself. "I accepted Jesus Christ as Savior from a Hindu background. I received the booklet Help From Above through a Christian friend. I led 54 people to Christ by the help of that booklet. They accepted the Lord and want to live as Christians. [Please] provide booklets for distribution in Hindi and English." –S.N.K.

From Papua New Guinea: "One night I was teaching in the church with the youth. I did not know there was a man sitting in the back. I was teaching about how we can come to Jesus Christ and give our lives totally. My small brother distributed The Way to God to that man sitting in the back. The gathering was over, and I was back home. I was very surprised when that fellow knocked on the door at midnight wanting to receive Jesus Christ as his Lord and personal Savior. After he was led to Christ Jesus, he told me, ‘I could not sleep because I knew that I have missed Jesus.' Many come to the Lord through your ministry in Papua New Guinea." –A.K.

From all over the world hearts are turning to the Savior as they read of His love for them and the salvation that was purchased for them by His shed blood. God has given us the task of providing seed to those who will sow it. Others may water it, but He has promised to give the increase.

[Each $20 gift will provide for 500 Scripture booklets; $200 will reach 5,000 precious people with the salvation message. Every gift helps.]

Believers in China have requested one million copies each of Bible studies on Genesis, John, and Revelation in Simplified Chinese to help train Chinese teachers, pastors, and evangelists. Printings of one million copies of A Bible Study on John proved the effectiveness of WMP Bible study booklets and encouraged this request. They will be printed in China as funds permit.

New Testaments in Arabic, Persian, and Kreyol were printed last year. New Testaments in Spanish and French, now needed for distribution in areas of the world where believers are unable to obtain their own copy of God's Word, will be printed as funds allow. Karen S'gah New Testaments (20,000 copies) were printed in Thailand with specified funds.

He Is Risen!, a salvation coloring book written by Rose Goodman, has been printed by WMP in 11 languages with specified funds. Last year 190,540 copies were printed, with many shipped as soon as they became available. Radio Station (Elkhart, Indiana) recently raised funds for 5,000 Kiswahili coloring books and boxes of crayons for Operation Rainbow Centre, an outreach to children with AIDS in Burundi

An Open Door

Located in central South America, Paraguay is landlocked between Argentina, Brazil, and Bolivia. With few natural resources the country has suffered through a continuous cycle of poverty. War and corruption have hindered what economic progress might have been made.

Spiritual poverty has also held the people of Paraguay captive. Superstition, animism, and the occult have mixed with a Roman Catholic influence to leave the people in deep spiritual need.

Over 400 villages in the interior are without any evangelical witness. But doors are open to the gospel in Paraguay. A WMP distributor has opportunity to present The Way to God to students in the public schools, reaching the youth of this needy nation. A shipment with more than 1,000 boxes of Spanish Scripture booklets, Bible studies, New Testaments, and salvation coloring books is being sent to assist in this outreach. In addition, two other distributors in Paraguay will receive several hundred boxes of WMP material to assist them in their particular area of ministry.

Other shipments of Spanish materials are scheduled for Venezuela, Argentina, and Puerto Rico in response to new requests from distributors.

[Every gift of $40 provides Scripture booklets for 1,000 Spanish-speaking people.]

The Way to God leads a reader in Argentina to Jesus and to a deeper relationship with Him.
